Holiday Mulling Spice Maple Bourbon Cocktail

Mmmm… curl up by the fire this winter with this delicious bourbon cocktail made with Milford Spice Company’s Holiday Mulling Spice - infused maple syrup.  It’s perfect on a cold winter’s night.

INGREDIENTS


1/2 cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp Milford Spice Company’s Holiday Mulling Spice
1 tea strainer
3 Tbsp bourbon
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1-2 dashes orange bitters
2 Tbsp spiced maple syrup
Champagne, for topping (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  • To make the spiced maple syrup., in a small pot, bring 1/2 cup water, the maple, and 2 Tbsp of Milford Spice Company’s Holiday Mulling Spice in a tea strainer, to a boil over high heat. Boil 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat. Let cool, then strain the syrup into a glass jar. This syrup makes enough for about 6 drinks.

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup, the bourbon, lemon juice, and orange bitters. Add ice and shake. Strain into a glass. Top off with champagne and garnish with a cinnamon stick and twist of orange, if desired.
