Bourbon Barrel Smoked Black Pepper, Cranberry, & Chive Goat Cheese

What a festive holiday treat for entertaining your guests with a charcuterie tray!  The flavor of Milford Spice Company’s Bourbon Barrel Smoked Black Pepper is complemented with the sweetness of the cranberries and the mild bite of the chives and they all blend perfectly with creamy goat cheese.  A holiday must!  It is a little time consuming to make, but patience really pays off here!

INGREDIENTS

2 Tbsp dried cranberries, chopped
1 Tbsp Milford Spice Company’s Bourbon Barrel Smoked Black Pepper
2 Tbsp chopped chives
1 10oz log goat cheese
Crackers for serving
Meats, fruits, and nuts of your choice

DIRECTIONS

  • Chop the chives and cranberries and add to a small mixing bowl.  Add the Milford Spice Company’s Bourbon Barrel Smoked Black Pepper, and mix all together, making sure the cranberries are not clumped together.

  • On a large plate or flat surface, spread out the mixture evenly.  

  • Place the goat cheese log on top of the mixture and roll back and forth very gently.  Once a decent amount sticks to the log, begin to press, very gently so you don’t break the log, the mixture into the log so it’s all covered.

  • Keep pressing gently to adhere mixture to the cheese all over, including the ends.

  • Serve with crackers, meats, fruits, and nuts.
