Great Lakes Garlic, Parmesan, Truffle Tots

The key to a crispy tater tot is time.  The key to a delicious tater tot is Milford Spice Company’s Great Lakes Garlic.  These should be served in every pub, am I right?

Not only does Great Lakes Garlic go perfectly with potatoes, but adding it to parsnips, brussel sprouts, and carrots is a must.  GLG livens up any roasted vegetable to pack your meals with superb flavor!

INGREDIENTS

1 bag frozen tater tots (32-ounce bag)
¼ cup truffle oil
2 Tbsp Milford Spice Company’s Great Lakes Garlic
⅓ cup parmesan cheese (grated)
3 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
1 tsp kosher salt

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper. Scatter tater tots in one layer on the sheet tray.

  • Bake the tater tots plain for 45-50 minutes - NOT according to the package recommendations. Be sure to flip the tots halfway through.  Those extra minutes will make all the difference!  They should be golden brown and crunchy on the outside when done baking.

  • Prepare the sauce while the tater tots bake by mixing together the mayo and chopped garlic. Set aside.

  • Transfer the plain tots to a bowl OR toss directly on the sheet pan. Drizzle the cooked tater tots with truffle oil, Milford Spice Company’s Great Lakes Garlic, parmesan and salt. Spread back into one layer and broil on high for 3 to 5 minutes to crisp the cheese.

  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
