An Evening In Tuscany Asparagus Parmigiana

And don’t forget, An Evening In Tuscany goes well with all your summer vegetables - especially those tomatoes you’ve got in your garden that you’re not sure what to do with.  Throw them on a pizza, in a sauce for pasta, or on their own on a piece of toast with a little burrata cheese!

INGREDIENTS


1 cup marinara sauce
2 bunches asparagus, ends trimmed
1 Tbsp Milford Spice Company’s An Evening In Tuscany
5 slices provolone
3/4 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan, grated
Olive oil

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • In a small bowl, combine marinara sauce and Milford Spice Company’s An Evening In Tuscany.  Stir to combine thoroughly.

  • Trim asparagus, toss with a little olive oil and arrange in one layer on baking sheet.

  • Pour the marinara down the center of the the asparagus stems.

  • Top the marinara with provolone, then sprinkle a layer of the mozzarella cheese.

  • Cover the cheese with breadcrumbs, followed by parmesan.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.  Broil for 30 seconds-1 minute to get it nice and golden brown.
