Zesty Pork Sliders
These were so easy and fun to make! When it snows hard in Michigan, my super-hero brother Michael comes over to plow the driveway. These little sliders are a perfect treat for him in the cold weather! They're awesome for game day, too!
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. Bob Evans Zesty Hot Roll Sausage
1 egg
1/2 cup oats
2 Tbsp cup mayo
1 roma tomato, sliced
¼ red onion, sliced with mandolin
½ head butter/boston lettuce
Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
Slider buns
Oil
Salt & pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Combine Zesty sausage, egg, and oats and mix thoroughly to combine.
- Divide mixture into 6 rounded portions.
- Press down slightly to form patties about 1/4” thick.
- Drizzle oil in pan and turn on medium-high. Grill each patty to desired temperature. When there’s about 1-2 minutes left of grilling, place a slice of cheddar on top of each patty to melt.
- To assemble: place piece of lettuce, then patty, onion, and tomato. Spread a little mayo on the top of each bun and sprinkle with salt and pepper, then top the slider.
- Goes great with French fries!
