Garlic Confit

This is a great kitchen staple for Sauces, Dressings, Soups, etc.  I even use it to make garlic bread and put it on my pizza with some more spices instead of using a tomato-based sauce, and it rocks! You can store this delicious confit in an air tight container in your fridge for up to a month.

INGREDIENTS

4 Cups of Peeled Garlic Cloves
1 3/4 Cups of Olive Oil
2-3 Bay Leaves
4 Sprigs of Fresh Oregano - or thyme or rosemary would work nicely as well

DIRECTIONS

  • Add all of the ingredients to a pot

  • Simmer on low for roughly 25-35 minutes until the cloves are tender throughout

  • Allow to cool and transfer to an air tight jar or container

  • Stays well in the fridge for up to a month
