Pepperoni Pizza
You know how Nick doesn't like carbs? Mondays are his busy days, recording the GSG podcast, planning for the week, etc., so I usually end up packing him a huge snack (light dinner) with his breakfast sandwich to-go and indulge in delicious pizza like this one. It's an easy way to make your tummy happy.
INGREDIENTS
1 ball frozen Tiseo's dough, thawed
1 jar pizza sauce
1 8 oz. bag shredded mozzarella
1 ball fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
Fresh basil
¼ lb. pepperoni
Garlic powder
Butter
DIRECTIONS
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Knead dough out in a circle, using your fingers to create a bit of a crust; thinner in the middle and a little more dough around the edge.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the thinner part (not the crust) evenly, then cover with half of the pepperoni.
- Spread the jar of pizza sauce evenly over the pepperoni.
- Place the rest of the pepperoni on top, then top with the fresh mozzarella and basil leaves.
- Brush the butter on the outer crust, then sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the fresh mozzarella just starts to bubble.
