INGREDIENTS

Nonstick cooking spray for the pan
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup honey
12 oz. beer (I used Labatt Blue, but any light beer will work)
1 stick butter cut into 1/2 Tbsp slices

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9x5” loaf pan with cooking spray.

  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and honey. Pour in the beer and stir until just combined. It may be lumpy, but that’s ok. Spoon the dough into the pan and smooth the top. Place the butter on top evenly.

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is lightly golden on top. Let cook for 5 minutes in the pan before serving.
